Are you interested in rock’n’roll nostalgia? Good. So am I. That’s why I originally put together Fanzinera – Photographs 1985-1988. An attempt to see what was actually there in the vaults that had been collecting dust since the 1980s’ happy and carefree fanzine days. When the book was eventually published in 2012, some of the photographs had already been exhibited (and since then, quite a few times). These 36 photos were printed in an edition of ten copies (numbered and signed by me). The first three copies (1-3) were assembled and presented in a custom made box dressed in blue cloth and with the title/name stamped in gold on the front cover. Included is also a letter of “authentication”. The photos are portraits/live shots of Alex Chilton, Bernard Sumner, Blue For Two, Chris Bailey, Died Pretty, Ebbot Lundberg, Freddie Wadling, Genesis P-Orridge, Gun Club, Henry Rollins, Husker Dü, Iggy Pop, Jeffrey Lee Pierce, Joe Coleman, John Lydon, Jonas...
A pack of Fenris Wolves, anyone?
In order to facilitate for newcomers to occultural eclecticism, Trapart has created a bundle pack of all the currently available issues of The Fenris Wolf. 1400 pages of stimulation and provocation at a really good price! And getting all four of them will save postage money too. I get a lot of questions about what will happen with the sold out issues 1-3 and 4. Although flattering, I don’t really like seeing soaring online prices for second hand copies, so I’m seriously thinking of re-issuing these books. The best way to stay in the loop is to sign up for the newsletter both at this site and at TRAPART. As for e-book versions, I’m pretty positive that will happen too. But when, you might ask? That’s a tougher nut to crack.
Fenris Wolf release party at Atlantis
On Monday September 5th 2016 the legendary book shop Atlantis in London hosted the release evening for the new Fenris Wolf issue. It was, as expected, a very nice soirée filled with new and old acquaintances mingling in utter Gnosis. To not allow the liquid spirits completely take the upper hand, I decided it would be great to let their poetic cousins have their say. Beautiful Vanessa Sinclair read cut up poems from her collections, Zaheer Gulamhusein read his poem from FW8, and I finished by reading Kadmus’ FW8 poem, “A Fragment of Heart”, and my own “As the Wolf lies down to rest”. And people listened! Whereupon the liquid spirits got the upper hand and won after all. I was especially pleased to meet and talk to Timothy d’Arch Smith, whose Books of the Beast and many other writings I devoured as a youngster. Here follow some photographic pieces of evidence that all tell the same story: a good time was had. Thank you everyone present, thank you...
A great Elgaland-Vargaland document!
The experiment(s) of the Kingdoms of Elgaland-Vargaland (KREV) has recently been summed up in a wonderful book called exactly that: The Kingdoms of Elgaland-Vargaland. It’s a 300 page monster of an overview of basically all the things that have happened since the creation of the Kingdoms back in 1992. What a long, strange trip it’s been! “With effect from the 14th of March 1992, we are annexing and occupying the following territories: 1. All border frontier areas between all countries on earth, and all areas (up to a width of 10 nautical miles) existing outside all countries’ territorial waters. We designate these territories our physical territory. 2. Mental and perceptive territories such as: the Hypnagogue State (civil), the Escapistic Territory (civil) and the Virtual Room (digital). On the 27th of May 1992 at 12 noon GMT, we proclaimed the state of Elgaland Vargaland.” (Signed by founders/Kings Leif Elggren and CM von Hausswolff) Had this...
