CARL ABRAHAMSSON CURRICULUM VITAE:

1966: Born in Stockholm, Sweden.

1972-1981: Studied at Engelbrektsskolan, Stockholm.

1978: Started taking photographs.

1981-1984: Studied at Östra Real/Östermalms Gymnasium, Stockholm.

1981-1982: Co-published comics fanzine Splasch.

1985-1989: Studied at the University of Stockholm (journalism & film theory/history).

1986-1988: Published music/subculture fanzines Lollipop and Acts Of Interstellar
Torture.

1988: Studied at Stockholms Filmskola/Nya Filmskolan (filmmaking).

1987-present day: Music-making with the band White Stains. Also solo work, and in projects Deform Project, Sinnelag and Understen.

1988-1990: Initial record label and publishing activities through TOPYSCAN (=Thee Temple Ov Psychick Youth Scandinavia: Books, booklets, LPs, singles, cassettes, videos).

1989-1993: Edited and published occultural journal The Fenris Wolf in three issues (one magazine and two books).

1990-1993: Founded and worked with record label and book publishing company Psychick Release (CDs, videos, books, booklets, cassettes, events/concerts).

1990-1992: Co-founded and worked with film society Cinematick in Stockholm, organising numerous film shows, events and parties, including in-person- appearances by Herschell Gordon Lewis, Richard Kern, Lydia Lunch, Jörg Buttgereit and several others.

1994-1998: Co-founded and worked with book publishing company Looking Glass Press.

1996-2004: Founded and worked with advertising agency/publishing company Übertext.

2000: Edited and published first issue of art fanzine BULT.

2000-present day: Freelance work in journalism, editing, graphic design, advertising and photography.

2000-present day: Lecturing on various topics, mostly about the intersection between art and the esoteric (Royal College of Art, Stockholm, Royal College of Art, Copenhagen, Gasworks, London, the Here to Go-symposium, Trondheim and many more places). Also moderation of talks on art, Q & A-sessions, writing introductions and forewords to catalogs, artists’ books etc.

2000-2018: Music-making with the band/project Cotton Ferox.

2010-2011: Editor and writer at Tidningen Kulturen, music and film sections.

2011-2016: Co-founder of Edda Publishing (together with Fredrik Söderberg). Editor of The Fenris Wolf annual book project (revived in 2011).

2012-present day: Founded and worked with TRAPART Books, Films and Editions.
