A successful fundraiser for LUNACY

The Kickstarter campaign for my new film Lunacy reached its goal of 20.000 SEK on March 5th (and then some). Thanks, praise and love to all of you who supported this cinematic endeavour! The film will be edited throughout the summer for an autumn release. Thanks to the successful campaign, I can now scan a lot of archival super 8 material, which will be edited together with recently shot footage. The film will be a sequel-of-sorts to last year’s Sub Umbra Alarum Luna, and focusing on the moon in various aspects. It’ll be revolving around cut-ups read by Vanessa Sinclair, set to music by yours truly. Welcome to Lunacy – a trippy experience of/in/for all dimensions, super-novas and black holes. White Stains & Cotton Ferox revisited

I’ve recently made two compilations available online: White Stains’ Exploratorium and Cotton Ferox’ Defragmental. They were originally released on CD by Erototox Decodings (and these are still available HERE if you prefer a hard format) in 2007. The White Stains one focuses on ambient pieces and soundtracks and the Cotton Ferox one on tracks we made for various compilations, and some interesting remixes of our music. I know I’m partial, but I do feel they are both necessary albums for your collection and enjoyment. They are available via all major streaming services like Spotify, but also via iTunes and similar stores. A Carl contribution for Sombre Soniks

A great new compilation in the DO WHAT THOU WILL series from Sombre Soniks has just been released. It contains great musical ambience: dark, sensitive and evocative. I have one collaboration on the comp: a poem set to sounds by the amazing gong master Akoustik Timbre Frekuency. ATF also made sounds for a great cut-up poem by Vanessa Sinclair. The Lunacy crowdfunder moves along

The crowdfunder campaign at Kickstarter for my new film project LUNACY has almost reached half of the money at half time (the campaign ends on March 5th). THANKS and LOVE to those who’ve contributed so far! My film Sub Umbra Alarum Luna (2016) was dedicated to Derek Jarman’s influential work, specifically In the Shadow of the Sun (1975, with music by Throbbing Gristle 1980). The film has been screened in Stockholm, Copenhagen, London, Berlin, New York, Porto and other places, and is available on DVD and Vimeo On Demand. My new project, LUNACY, will be the “follow-up” film to Sub Umbra, and is based around recorded cut-up texts about the moon by Vanessa Sinclair, with music by me. The film will be a miasmic, mind-expanding trip into the psycho-lunar orbit. Mixing new material with older super 8 footage and a truly cosmic soundtrack, I will aim to see what’s on the dark side of the moon – and hopefully come back.
