As I made my most recent lecture available on Vimeo On Demand, I also lowered the price level generally for this as well as previous lectures. Now more people can listen in and (hopefully) enjoy the talks. They’re all set to the $4,99 level so it should be doable for most people… Which ones haven’t you seen yet? There’s plenty to choose from so please check them out right here: The Imaginary Is A Real Thing from Carl Abrahamsson on Vimeo. A new album/collaboration with Akoustik Timbre Frekuency
Some time ago, I sent some recorded poems/texts to sound wizard Akoustik Timbre Frekuency in the UK. We had worked before on some tracks for compilations, so I knew it’d be good. The result of our collaboration has just been released by Highbrow Lowlife, and it’s also available all over the digisphere. The album is called Heated Wanderlust And Then Some, and I’m pretty certain you’re going to enjoy it… Here’s also a first video from the album, shot by Vanessa Sinclair in New York: EXIST. A new video from the Remixes album
Here’s a brand new video from/for the The Larval Stage of a Bookworm Remixed album. The remix is by Sinnelag and the track is Spinning the Wheel. Enjoy! The album is available at Highbrow Lowlife and all other major digital outlets. Carl Abrahamsson: Spinning the wheel remixed from Carl Abrahamsson on Vimeo.
Witches, psychedelic drugs and some sadomasochistic Christianity
I have a new lecture on Vimeo On Demand! In this lecture, The Imaginary Is A Real Thing, I talk about the connections between medieval witchcraft and psychoactive substances, and about the draconian force that emanated from the Christian Church in response to this specific age-old knowledge. If the European monasteries hadn’t become more like theological universities rather than remaining mere libraries, and these environments hadn’t encouraged such a violent hate towards women, then perhaps one of the most disturbing genocides in human history could have been avoided. Check it out right here: The Imaginary Is A Real Thing from Carl Abrahamsson on Vimeo.
