2015 was an amazing year and one that gives me hope for an even better 2016. To a great extent, this has had to do with the many blessings I received from the film gods. I’ve worshiped them diligently with respect and love, and this has not been an unreciprocated process. I finished five documentaries, shot a few more, and then shot and finished one movie. I learnt so many things along the way that I still feel overwhelmed by it. For more information about them all, please visit TRAPART FILM.
Thanks and praise are due not only the films gods but also the living human beings who helped out in manifesting these films: Andrew M McKenzie, Freddie Wadling, Bella Laessker-Wadling, Patrik Lager, Nicolas Debot & Njuta Films, Helena Malewska, Åsa Ersmark, Per Åhlund, Jack Stevenson, Vicki Bennett, Charles Gatewood, Gustaf Broms, Linn Sparrenborg, Robert Bolin, Robin Hayes, Thomas Gjutarenäfve, Roy Sutherwood, Tea Shaldeva, Stojan Nikolic, Vera Nikolic, Johan Hamrin, Katarzyna Jaskiewicz, Robin Westerström, Fredrik Åkerberg, Jane Altiparmakov, Agnieszka Lewalski and Jakob Abrahamsson. I’m sure there are others too that I’ve presently forgotten (sorry!). No matter what: eternal thanks!
I lectured at some great places: at Nekropolis and the Overgaden Institute of Contemporary Art in Copenhagen, the University of Stockholm, Odrörer Sthlm, and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. Many thanks to Bjarne Salling Pedersen, Lea Porsager, Per Faxneld, Ida Månson, Kerstin Stakemeier and everyone else involved!
There were some good interviews, touching upon both backgrounds and current work… Santa Sangre, Expanding Mind, Occult of Personality and The Black Flame were the best and I thank those involved for their beautiful efforts.
Edda published two nice books. Ernst Jünger’s Visit to Godenholm and Fredrik Söderberg’s Åter till Naturen i Tyskland. Both are available at www.edda.se
The Fenris Wolf took a sabbatical due to my film work but will return very early in 2016 with the eighth issue. More information about this will be presented soon. The contents of this “bumper” issue will hopefully compensate for the unusually long silence.
Of course there will be many more films, books, screenings and lectures next year. I therefore hope to see you around at some point in time and space!
Have a Merry Winter Solstice and a Happy and Successful New Year!
