Assorted reviews: (A slightly longer version than what was published in) VICE, Vol 5, No 1 (2008) Olika Människor by Carl Abrahamsson (h-ström, 2007) Fascinating yak-fest with movers and groovers by the Swedish dark prince of underground culture Snurre El-Humid Satansson (in your reality known as Carl Abrahamsson). If you read the language of the last European heathens (Swedish for you who slept thru school) then this is the place to read the minds of incredible people like John Duncan, Kenneth Anger, the late Lars Hillersberg, Michael Moynihan, Raplh Metzner and other equally brilliant individuals. Everybody gets to let their yappers flap to the finish, a rare treat nowadays and you also get a nice mugshot to go with the words so you can see with you own peepers that real doers look surprisingly like regular people without a fashion blog. There's a lesson there. One does wonder what non-entities like Jens Assur, the Suicide Girls-broad and Wes Lang are doing in such fabulous company, it's not like they deserve the attention. C'mon, Wes Lang in the same book as Leif Elggren! Or is it a diabolical plot by Snurre to make the regular reader able to, at last, distinguish between shit and shinola?
